ALLIANCE AREA
CONCERT ASSOCIATION
The Alliance Area Concert Association
is in its 64th year of offering music
to the Alliance community. The association
provides nationally and internationally
known live entertainment each
season for its subscribers.
The association's goals are to build
and maintain, through a non-profit plan, a
permanent concert audience; cultivate an
interest in fine music in Alliance and surrounding
areas; and foster and encourage
public appreciation of music and the teaching
of music, history and music appreciation
in the schools of the Alliance area.
The association's season runs September
through May and offers four to
five concerts per season. All concerts
are held at 7:30 p.m. in the Alliance
High School auditorium.
Concerts remaining in this season
are cello quartet Quatrocelli on March
27 and Beatles tribute band Revolution
on April 15.
The first concert of the season will
feature Alexander Ghindin, winner of the
Cleveland International piano competition.
Concert dates for the remainder of the 2008 season have not yet
been determined but concerts will feature the following: Pianafiddle,
featuring concert pianist Lynn Wright and concert violinist/fiddler
Adam DeGroff; the jazz group Side Street Strutters and Mantini
Sisters, "The Ladies of Broadway."
Association memberships are $35 per person and can be purchased
any time during the year. Student and family rates are available.
With the purchase of Alliance Area Concert Association subscriptions,
members are admitted to all Alliance concerts as well as concerts
in other associations located in Mount Vernon, Cambridge and Lancaster
in Ohio and Beaver Falls and Venango/Oil City in Pennsylvania.
The association welcomes volunteers interested in the arts and
who would like to become workers for the association's annual
campaign in March. Those interested in becoming a volunteer should

ALLIANCE YOUTH-FUL CHAMBER ORCHESTRA
The Alliance Youth-ful Chamber Orchestra was created in 1992,
originally known as the Youth Chamber Orchestra.
Now multi-age, the orchestra is composed of area string musicians,
elementary school through adult who play violin, viola, and cello.
Saturday rehearsals are held at Mount Union College at Cope
Music Hall during fall and spring sessions. A concert concludes
each session. There is a one-time participation fee per session.
The Youth-ful Chamber Orchestra brings together musicians
with a wide range of ages and abilities to develop ensemble skills
through the enjoyment of playing and performing fine music; invites
the participation of youth and adult string musicians; offers expert
guidance and is relaxed and non-competitive.
For more information, contact David Daniels at 330-875-4186 or

The orchestra is an independent non-profit venture funded by
donations from groups and individuals, and ArtsinStark Foundation
