Welcome to the City of Alliance " home of Mount
Union College, the Carnation Festival, Commerce
Park and a wide variety of arts, entertainment, recreational
and educational facilities.
Located in the northeastern portion of Ohio, Alliance is just
a short driving distance from Akron, Cleveland, Columbus and
Pittsburgh.
The city's population of approximately 23,000 residents is
served by the Alliance City School District and two local districts in
addition to private schools for students through grade 12.
Alliance encompasses 7.952 square miles and has 107 miles of
streets. A new hospital was opened in 2006, providing the latest in
health care to area residents.
Several parks provide recreational opportunities to residents as
well. Silver Park is comprised of 53 acres and Butler-Rodman Park,
home of the Hot Stove baseball tournament, is 60 acres. Also available
are Early Hill Park and Memorial Park, which is home to the
newly dedicated Alliance Rotary Club Skate Park.
Area entertainment includes golf courses, movies, theater and
musical performances and a variety of restaurants are available
as well. The Carnation Mall is a shopping destination, as well as a
variety of other retail stores for resident's shopping needs.
