Alliance Community Hospital will soon celebrate the
second anniversary of the grand opening of its stateof-
the-art acute care facility.
A nearly 250,000 square-foot hospital with an adjacent
professional office building and spacious Community Care
Center, ACH offers patients the best of both worlds: cutting
edge technology in a soothing, home-like setting.
As the only Planetree hospital in the area and one of
only a few in the state of Ohio, Alliance Community Hospital
provides a holistic healing environment that is wholly patientcentered.
ACH staff attend to the needs of patients " physically,
emotionally and spiritually.
The ACH staff also makes an effort to help patients become
well and to feel good. The hospital is committed to offering
complementary services such as concierge service, massage
therapy, aromatherapy and Reiki (a Japanese technique of
stress reduction and relaxation to help promote healing).
The hospital has 218 private patient rooms that offer amenities
such as room service, sleeper sofas (for family members),
computer and internet capabilities, and cable television.
Named "Large Business of the Year" by the Alliance Area
Chamber of Commerce in the recent past, ACH offers a homelike
backdrop for its cutting-edge medical services. An example
of ACH's advanced technology is its Toshiba Aquilion 64-slice
CT-scanner, which offers the most clear and comprehensive
images available in medical imaging and greatly enhances diagnostic
accuracy. ACH also offers a high-tech MRI technology
that produces expert imaging results from a quieter machine.
ACH provides enhanced patient safety services through
its eMAR Pharmacy system, which uses barcode technology
to lessen the likelihood of medication errors.
Alliance Community Hospital was the first in northeast
Ohio to implement eMAR, which stores medications in
electronic cabinets to enable faster, more precise medicine
dispensation to patients. The eMAR system helps ACH staff
members to give medications exactly per physician orders
and is useful in aiding staff to monitor side effects, as well as
to minimize potential complications from allergic reactions or
Alliance Community Hospital
adverse drug interactions.
