Akron-Canton Regional Airport

Alliance-Barber Airport
13820 Union Ave. N.E., Alliance, (three miles north of Alliance onState Route 225). Owned by Forrest and Pat Barber. Local commercial class III General Aviation Airport (2DI), offering aircraft rental, airplane and helicopter instruction, aerial photos, and a full maintenance facility. The following businesses are located at the airport: Barber Aircraft, a fixed base operator which maintains seven hangers with the capacity to accommodate 30 based aircraft; and Ohio Airships, Inc. Stark Area Regional Transit Authority (SARTA)
Offers extended routes within and between the cities of Stark county including Alliance. Fixed route, curb-to-curb service, special fares for students and senior citizens. Office hours are 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday. For general information call (330) 454-6132.
Amtrak
820 E. Main St. Alliance, (Main Street and Webb Avenue). Offers daily rail service on the Capitol Limited between Chicago and Washington DC. Tickets must be purchased in advance by calling (800) USA-RAIL or on Amtrak's website, a http://www.amtrak.com.
