Altercare of Alliance -- 11750 Klinger Ave., (330) 823-8263. Skilled and intermediate nursing care facility with 128 beds and 20 private rooms in newly constructed Novitas Center for Rehabilitation. Offers physical, occupational, speech therapies and recreational activities, as well as dental, optical and podiatry services. Medicare and Medicaid certified, private pay and managed care accepted. Office hours: 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. weekdays.
Bel-Air Care Center -- 2350 S. Cherry St., (330) 821-3939. Intermediate-care facility with 45 beds. Offers physical, speech and psychiatric therapies, as well as dental, optical and podiatry services. Skilled facility and independent living. Medicaid certified. Office hours: 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., weekdays.
Canterbury Villa of Alliance -- 1785 Freshley Ave., (330) 821-4000. Long-term, skilled and intermediate nursing facility with 92 beds, including 40 secured Alzheimer's units. Offers physical, speech and occupational therapies. Medicare, Medicaid and V.A. certified. Office hours: 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., weekdays.
Community Care Center -- 145 E. College St., (330) 829-4060. Part of Alliance Community Hospital. Long-term, skilled, intermediate and subacute nursing care facility with 66 beds. Provides recreational activities, transportation, and physical, speech and occupational therapies. Medicare and Medicaid certified. Office hours: 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., weekdays.
McCrea Manor, Nursing and Rehabilitation Center -- 2040 McCrea St., (330) 823-9005. Assisted living, skilled and intermediate care facility with 124 beds. Offers physical, speech, occupational, and masso- therapies. Medicare and Medicaid certified. Office hours: 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., weekdays.
Meals on Wheels of Alliance, First Emmanuel Church -- 208 E. Oxford St., (330) 823-6677. Delivers hot meals to homebound persons weekdays from 11 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Serves congregations - requires two working days in advance. Donation requested. Office hours: 9 a.m. to 1 p.m., weekdays.
Meals on Wheels of Alliance, YWCA -- 239 E. Market St., (330) 823-1840. Delivers hot meals and sack lunches to homebound persons weekdays from 11 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Office hours: 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., Monday through Thursday and 9 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. Friday.
Rockhill Place -- 11677 Rockhill Ave. N.E., (330) 821-0071. Intermediate care facility for individuals with mental retardation and developmental disabilities. Houses 30 beds. Medicaid certified. Office hours: 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., weekdays.
Roselawn Terrace -- 11999 Klinger Ave. N.E., (330) 823-0618. Assisted-living and intermediate-care facility with 46 beds. Offers recreational activities and physical, occupational and speech therapies. Medicare and Medicaid certified. Office hours: open 24 hours.
Senior Citizens Center -- 602 W. Vine St., (330) 821-3348. Assist seniors with income tax returns and HEAP, Medicare and Medicaid forms; provides legal aid; schedules flu and hearing clinics and various special interest classes. Hours: 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., weekdays.
Sterling House of Alliance -- 1277 S. Sawburg Ave., (330) 829-0180. Assisted living provides daily meals, activities, and personal assistance with activities of daily living. Offers weekly laundry, cleaning services, and transportation to doctor visits. Office hours: open 24 hours; 24-hour nursing.
